What do we do?
Mickey came to us through no fault of his own due to his owner having serious health issues. He is now happily rehomed, living with a lovely family and their dog and cat
Sybil came to us from an abusive background where she had been beaten. She now lives a great life with her new parents and their cat
Sadly ever more dogs and cats find themselves abandoned or needing to be rehomed through no fault of their own. Every rescue is full to capacity and animals are turned away through lack of kennels or foster homes. We aim to help these animals by trying wherever possible to help people rehome their dogs (or cats) from home which is less stressful for the dog and also helps to ensure that they are rehomed safely and with the back up of lifetime support. We also take in dogs which are more urgent and provide safe places for them through a growing number of foster homes.
We want to try and make sure that dogs and cats in South Yorkshire do not slip through the net due to lack of rescue places. However, in order to help more animals we do need people to help us. We rely solely on donations and fundraising - we get no support from the Government or other official bodies. So every penny we spend on food, vets fees, vaccinations, microchipping. neutering and transport needs to be raised directly from the people who support us. The more support we have the more animals we can help - it's simple.
We need help from those local to us and those further afield. Below are some of the ways you can help us to help animals
